Q-Assessor Help

Using Q-Assessor involves three straightforward steps. Please read these instructions carefully. When you are done, click the “Done” button at the bottom of this window to return to the main screen.

Step 1

You will be presented with a series of statements in left-hand section of the main screen. Please read each statement and indicate whether you agree with it, disagree with it, or are uncertain about it by clicking on the appropriate button. When you make your choice, the statement will be added to lists that you will see in the right-hand section of the main screen. The next statement will appear for your evaluation.

If you change your mind about a statement (for instance, if you decide you “Agree” with a statement you had dropped in the “Uncertain” list), click the “Reassign” button you will see beside the statement in the right-hand list. The statement will return to the left-hand panel where you can reassign it.

As you evaluate the statements, you will see at the bottom of this screen a reminder of how many statements you have left to process. Once you have assigned them all, you will be given a final chance to reassign any of the statements. Once you are satisfied with your choices, you should click the “Done” button to move to the next step.

Step 2

Here you will further sort through how much you agree and disagree with these statements by moving them from the three lists into a ranked grid which you will see in the left-hand section of the main screen.

First you will select the statements you most agree with. To do this, click the “Select” button (which has now replaced the “Reassign” button from Step 2) by the statement you want to process. The statement will turn red to show it has been chosen. The “Select” button will change to a “Deselect” button to allow you to change your mind if you do not want to process the statement.

Then choose where in the grid you want to place it by clicking one of the “Move Here” buttons in the grid. This button will then change to a “Remove” button to allow you to change your mind. If you click this button, the statement will return to its original list on the right-hand side.

Only the top “Agree” slots will be available at first. Once you have selected these statements, you will then rank the bottom “Disagree” statements in the same fashion. Finally, you will fill in all the other slots from the remaining statements in the lists.

As you move the statements into the grid, they will disappear from the lists on the right.Once all statements have been moved, a “Done” button will appear in their place.You can still “Remove” statements and move them around if you want. Otherwise, click the “Done” button to move to the next step when you are fully satisfied by your choices.

Step 3

In the final step, you will be asked to comment on why you made the choices you did and to provide some additional information that will be kept strictly confidential. You will see these questions in the right-hand panel. The grid will remain in the left-hand panel so that you can refer to it as you respond. Once you are satisfied with your responses, click the “Send Info” button you will see at the bottom of the questions. This will send all your responses to the investigators who will confirm receipt of your responses by email and follow-up with you by phone or email.
